19 of Medvedev's twenty-one titles have been earned on hard courts
A revitalized Daniil Medvedev secured his maiden trophy for nearly 30 months with success over Corentin Moutet in the tournament final.
Medvedev, a ex- world number one, has experienced a challenging year, achieving just one win at the major tournaments and suffering a difficult moment at the New York tournament.
His inconsistency on the professional circuit - and struggles with his service game in specific - resulted in him exiting of the top ten and ultimately separating with former trainer Cervara.
Currently working with Thomas Johansson and his other coach, he has steadily improved in the last few weeks - peaking in a closely contested three-set win over Frenchman Corentin Moutet.
This marks the player's maiden trophy after the Italian tournament and initial on a hard court from spring of 2023.
Success also means Medvedev has won 21 titles at twenty-one various competitions.
"It's the first time I'm at a event with my children simultaneously, so to get a championship is really nice," stated tennis professional Medvedev.
"This victory is in tribute of my younger daughter Victoria, because the first title I won when my child her name was born was for her."
The athlete, the 2021 US Open champion, had lost his last six finals, comprising in Halle in the past months.
Medvedev's retrieving strategy and frequent reactions on court had caused commentators to question if his ability to play at the elite level was concluded.
But the athlete has altered his approach in recent weeks, striving to advance forward and perform aggressively, reinforced by an enhanced service.
He recovered from a deficit in the opening set against the difficult opponent, taking four of the concluding five exchanges to go ahead.
The pair exchanged breaks in the following set before the challenger, striving for his initial ATP Tour title, seized the initiative to push for a third set.
He rescued four initial chances in a competitive final set before the Russian secured a break to fifteen to close out the victory.
Fittingly, the winner clinched the win with a rally at the net, with the Frenchman unable to handle a volley after a lengthy match.
