Donald Trump's Framework of Consequences and Incentives

Trump's insatiable appetite for revenge has quickly morphed into a methodical framework. Over the twelve months, the president's fury and impulses have taken on the guise of administrative measures in a manner comparable to past authoritarian governments. Justice department figures who do not cooperate are summarily fired and succeeded by devotees. Political leaders who challenge him risk legal action, trial and punishment. Critics have been labeled under administration memoranda as “unpatriotic”, “anti-Christian” and “against free markets”, and warned with prosecution as “extremists”.

Federal Agencies Restructured

Each instance involving legal action of political opponents and protection for his allies demonstrates its own unique characteristics. However, regardless of their individual character, they exemplify expressions of what has developed as a deliberate technique. Those events are anything but random. His cleansing of federal attorneys and FBI agents, alongside his installation of devotees in high-level positions, commenced quickly, promptly took on a consistency, and has now been shaped into a regime. DoJ and the Federal Bureau have been transformed into ideological agencies under his explicit direction to implement his directives. Injustice has been made routine. It constitutes the retribution system.

Management is preoccupied with penalizing the chief's alleged opponents than they are with protecting our country's safety.

Internal the Structure

The origin of this mechanism has been revealed in the lawsuit of multiple previous top FBI officials filed in September in the judicial system in the capital against top official an administration figure and justice department head Pam Bondi for unlawful firing in “a effort of payback against the officials for what the accused considered to be a failure to demonstrate sufficient allegiance”. The document states that one official, the former acting FBI director, recounts a conversation in which Patel “openly confessed the unlawfulness of his conduct”.

He had tried to shield FBI agents from being dismissed, the filing states. He informed him that “they” – perceived by him to be the executive branch and federal prosecutors – had ordered him to remove everyone who they identified as having worked on a law enforcement case against the president. The complaint continues: “The director explained that he had to terminate the people his bosses told him to remove, because his capacity to retain his own role was contingent on the ouster of the officials who were involved in matters involving the leader. The director commented that there was nothing he or him could do to stop these or any other terminations, because ‘the agency sought to incarcerate the leader in prison and he recalls it clearly.’” After he told the director he was breaking the bureau's own policies, Patel reportedly said “he recognized that and he was aware the essence of the summary firings were almost certainly illegal”.

Broad Impact

Since the director's claimed acknowledgment to him, the justice department and the Federal Bureau have been gutted and redirected for the administration's system of punishment. Six of the agency's high-ranking agents were dismissed or pushed out in the first days of the presidency. Approximately thousands of professional attorneys at the department have taken a “early exit scheme”. At least multiple DoJ lawyers, including those in the Manhattan division, quit in objection over what they considered as political interference in withdrawing the corruption case against the city leader, the mayor, in as a trade for his assistance with his ICE arrests of foreign nationals. The anti-corruption unit of the department, which handles ethical violations, has been diminished to two attorneys. The equality section has been decimated: 70% of its personnel has resigned. A third of executives at DoJ have resigned. The section enforcing ecological regulations has lost 50% its leadership.

Rewards and Sanctions

In the mayor's situation, the interim prosecutor for the southern district of New York, she, quit in dissent against what she described as the “trade-off”. A key figure, his “enforcement chief,” showed up as the enforcer with him on Fox News to state: “Should he fail to deliver, I will return in NYC.”. Meanwhile, Emil Bove, earlier the justice department figure and a past legal representative, who arranged the deal, was awarded an appellate federal judgeship, a possible springboard to the highest court.

Trump's exemption for crimes committed while in government, awarded by the remarkable ruling of the Republican majority on the judicial body, thus blocking his criminal case over the Capitol riot and preserving his political viability for the national vote, is the cornerstone on which he stands to defend his stalwarts. With such immunity, he has been liberated to enable wrongdoing. The effect of the court judgment saturates his government and the GOP down to its bones. Trump v United States has spread. In the words of the former president's White House counsel the figure commented about the Watergate
